The Essex Police Museum has an education programme for schools to tie in with the current national curriculum and can be downloaded by clicking the link above.
Our sessions encourage cross-curricular learning and cover EYFS through to 16+. We cover Crime and Punishment, Crime Scene Investigation (CSI), People Who Help Us, Local History (Victorians) and Careers and Life Skills. All our sessions are delivered by our curator.
The Essex Police Museum is also a great venue for special educational needs groups, with full wheelchair access and a wide variety of interactive and multi-sensory displays, and the ability to tailor visits to your needs.
We can accommodate education visits Mondays and Wednesdays-Fridays. To book please email [email protected]. Please note the museum is usually fully booked 2 months in advance. We are now fully booked for education visits until after the Easter break.
For free-to-use, high quality photos from our museum collection to use prior or following a visit, you may wish to visit the E2BN Gallery.
We offer a loans / topic box service, if you find it difficult to visit us. Details can be found in the education programme above.
We also suggest some great apps to encourage digital learning:
